French- Over 30 years of experience, teaching French from Years 7 to 13.
- Former ‘Head of MFL’ (in a large, state comprehensive school in the East Midlands). Also an Advanced Skills Teacher.
- Current part-time teacher of French in a Sixth Form college (Northamptonshire).
- Experienced examiner for both GCSE and A-level French.
- Last cohort of students (at Melton Vale Sixth Form College) all achieved in line with, or above, their target grades.
- My specialist A-level approach: stretching and challenging students by supporting them to write résumés; scaffolding translation to and from French; writing analytical essays on the two cultural topics; guiding students to research music, festivals, history, and trends in society in a way that motivates and engages them.
